Someone needs to figure out how to Govern in the modern age and not just responding to the media.

Our model of democracy is sadly busted...

That goes back to Tony Blair doesn't it. The first PM to be so obviously be obsessed with how to manipulate the media for his own benefit.

What I don't like about much mainstream media and never have is how they all just seem to waddle along behind politicians in their own cosy media pack like a line of obedient ducklings following mother duck.

One of the most brazen pathetic things I've seen this week is the increasingly unserious Beth Rigby when interviewing Rayner and referring to her as Angie. Infact she did it lots of times afterwards direct to camera too. I don't waste time on Sky anymore but saw the clips. Clearly a pally pals act and letting it be known. No credibility or even slight attempt to be professionally impartial. Can you ever imagine Sue Lawley interviewing Margaret Thatcher and calling her Maggie on camera! I know the printed press often did this but no TV journalist on screen ever would have done.

Green Man I bet every leader across the globe is laughing at Starmer, but being a narcissist that he is, he can't see it. Yvette Copper, sorry, Mrs Balls only seems to do interviews when her husband is asking her questions. The UK is weaker than gnats' piss.

When the Tories were collapsing and rightly so, they had the guts to call several General Elections.

So will happen to this dry humper who can't control his urges? Only be getting more support from the taxpayers, of course. He won't be deported; their problems become our problems.

Rich There has to be a new election for the Labour deputy leadership which is not in the gift of Starmer to dictate who that should be.

So why has he already appointed David Lammy as Deputy PM in that case? It's a largely meaningless position anyway. He didn't need to do that today.

Is he trying to gerrymander the deputy leader vote when it comes, surely it's not going to be a one candidate coronation of Lammy?

Whoever gets the deputy leadership surely gets the deputy PM role and so Lammy has to be out in short order if it's not him. So what's going on here?

This Labour Government is a total joke, barely 60 weeks into office, just over a year and we are back at the revolving doors where nobody keeps a major job of state for more than five minutes, just like the Tories.

Meanwhile he keeps Reeves as Chancellor among all the shuffling, the one person who is on death row politically and soon to be gone too!
