In The Know I'm also amazed at the way police now do "press conferences" after trials (but are, of course, no where to be seen if the accused is acquitted !).

Trawl by media, is I believe a standard police practise these days.
JK2006 That whole story about Fagin's Kids and the police raids looks like bollocks - 9 out of 10 children seized have been returned to their loving families.

We are close to the point where the police manipulation of the media warrants a heavy examination - perhaps "trawling by media" will get investigated at last, 8 years too late for me.
