foxy Nice to read so many positive articles about him.
Mike Willis He was a very nice man, I met him when he was raising money for charity.

He smiled when I bore out the tired line 'You are nothing like I expected you to be'. He was funny, and did a lot of good for Leukaemia research and raised millions of money privately without the glare of publicity. He was nominated for an MBE by the charity, which was accepted by the Royal Family.

His TV shows were good as well, and he got out of TV when he got tired of the format of his show, and ITV producers would not let him change it.

Very sorely missed.
JK2006 Any sightings, by the way, of Beadle's No1 fan, my secretary in the 70's Dorothy, who went over to work for Pete King and Ronnie at Ronnie Scott's?

I tried to find her when the club reopened a couple of years ago but nobody had a contact.
