That's it, MM - its an estate full of Vicky Pollards !
mikemacca The media would have us believe this child was "running away" before she was "abducted" by somebody she knew.

In The Know Police have just been granted a further 24 hours to question the suspect. (Police are supposed to charge as soon as sufficient evidence is available).

From Sky News - "Police are beginning to build up a picture that this was perhaps more sinister than anyone had realised.

Had police not acted when they did, the situation could have become very grave indeed."

Wherever the girl is - I think she's better off than being returned to THAT family !
Al Not heard of any disturbing revelations, but generally try to avoid the more gossipy parts of the media. I do find it interesting that the police need yet more time to interview a man "suspected" of abducting a girl after they found her with him. Also it is general policy to return children to their families as early as possible unless there is some reason to suspect the child may not be safe at home.

It might just be that they are being extra careful due to the family connection of the suspected abducter, but it is still unusual to keep the child from her family for this long.
In The Know Disturbing further revelations about the Shannon family situation - could this be the start of a very detailed and disturbing enquiry?
