Foz The other actor I didn't know was still alive is Karl Malden (Streets of San Fransisco) who is 96! He also has one of the longest showbiz marriages (70 years)
veritas There is something in the water-but a lot of people in the USA seem to live to very ripe old ages.

Vale Richard Widmark-he's was sort of old Hollywood royalty really wasn't he ?. Handsome sort of guy when he was young and in westerns and detective films. That just about leaves Kirk Douglas I think.
The Cat I'd been convinced he'd died years ago.

Sad news all the same. But he reached a good age. Many actors don't make it that far.

Thanks for entertaining us, Mr Widmark. Rest in peace.
JK2006 You've seen him in so many films - but not since True Colors in 1991. He died aged 93.
