In The Know The Governments' plan to terrorize us all by increasing the detention limit from 28 days to 42 days faces defeat according to Government whips.

Labour MP Joan Ruddock says the figure "appears to have been plucked out of thin air" - but says she will still support the Government. What hypocrisy !

If she says the plan has no merit - but will still support it - how many other Labour MPs are actually against the Government's plans?

What has the House of Commons come to - when MPs vote against their instincts (and clearly against the rights of their constituents) in order to "stay loyal" and protect their future career path?
