The Cat I watched 'House' at 9pm. It could be another run-of-the-mill hospital drama if not for the wonderfully witty/dry/satirical humour of Hugh Laurie's character.

I did try The Bill after having given it a deliberate miss for several months. I found the acting to be very amateur, mostly due to the Soap cast offs.
JK2006 I watched The Bill and thought "was this entire episode based on a special effects person saying "I can get a terrific visual with bits of paper and a bomb"?" and then gave The Invisibles ten minutes (yawn) and then switched over to Taggart (never, ever make a series full of Scottish accents again) and went into a deep sleep dreaming of a world where just one TV executive had just one spark of creative imagination.
