JK2006 Dining with a friend in a posh eaterie and over to the table comes Roger Greenaway and his wife.

Roger was one of the great songwriters of our time... I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing, You've Got Your Troubles and many, many others with his writing partner Roger Cook.

But he was also the only person I've ever co-written with. We tried it one day and the song was recorded but I'm very much a solo writer whereas he likes to write with others. We never tried it again.

A delightful man, hugely talented.

It was super seeing them both and we had a long, nostalgic catch up and gossip about mutual friends (many, sadly, now departed).
