JK2006 Well Mart, our TV executives have clearly shown what they most like on TV is children crying.

Be it through happiness or, more often, misery when they fall fat on their faces.

We viewers apparently love it so they encourage it. Great ratings.

Mart Well we didn`t watch it, but have read the results in the papers etc, and before I say my bit here, I must say I have no idea what the winners actually did , or, any idea of their potential.

What I will say though, is that it concerns me that the BBC winner is too young to be pushed like he probably will be and has a nasty chance of failing as a result, in an extremely competitive business currently, in only slightly later lif, as a result of a huge push being given too early in life.
If we must hold these competitions, can we not make the winner the old guy that can play Beethovens` 5th through a kettle again whilst juggling 10 skittles and wearing a cloth cap so that it is fun and not deemed as relevent?
Mart I can`t knock Piers, although critically I feel I should in a cynical way.
But, he has a knack of knowing what the majority of people want.
