JK2006 Excellent article in the Sunday Times suggesting most of the script was stolen (whether intentionally or accidentally) from a previous historical biographical work.

A very serious copyright point here. Once something hits the Internet, does it become public domain?

The BBC have a habit of stopping useage of some of its early footage (i.e. Top of the Pops) where some of us do not believe we could have correctly anticipated the future media potential.

One day someone (quite possibly me) may open this copyright Pandora's Box.
JK2006 I thought it tried to be different on a small budget and failed dismally.

All that rubbish music hall stuff and ironic contrast between it and the realities of war.
baz i expected a more detailed study but it was interesting JK
