As I think I've mentioned before, smoked eel with horseradish sauce is one of my very favourite dishes and the best thing in Holland.
Eel is delicious - great flavour and very juicy.

Now that does sound a nice Turkish eatery.
They do say the best Turkish is not in Turkey, but in places like London,or indeed Vienna, where I had a scrumptious feast myself not so long back.
Eels...can see why you were left alone on that one though lol:woohoo:
Mart
Sorry, I just could not resist the headline!
We arrived in London yesterday afternoon and Mrs Mart noticed that my greedy eyes had lit up.
"You`ve just spotted the Falafel stall haven`t you", she said.
What I had actually spotted was a sign on a very small shop saying "Eels and Ales"!
Too good to be true and incredibly elusive to find.
Sadly, my touring party absolutely squirmed out of the idea of eel eating, but we did go to a wonderful Turkish establishment near the market in Shepherds Bush where the crispy lamb is absolutely to die for.
They didn`t have a card, I paid cash and have no receipt, but it begins with a "V" and is on the corner before you arrive at the Walkabout and Empire.
For value, check this out for an amazing bill and menu for four people.
Two halved roast chickens with chips and salad.
Crispy lamb flatbread sandwich with chilli and lemon salad.

Two apples and two oranges.
Four coca colas, one bottle of mineral water and two bottles of stella.
