JK2006 I've had to ditch my German baseball cap temporarily!

Can't find a Spanish one.

Sadly I don't like Spanish food, am not keen on their culture (prefer the Moors) and cannot stand the lisping language (mind you gutteral German is worse) but they have got a great little national team this year and I love the fact that the manager is 134 years old (slightly older than me).
Denise Torres didn't always stay on his feet. He did go crashing into the ad board, and he had a couple of sour faced gripes at the referee, but yes he's generally quite good.

I was disappointed that Russia didn't play better. They seemed out of sorts.
Henry Agreed JK. Silva has been very good. Let's just hope he is never tempted by Abramovich's millions. I think he'd be ideal for either Arsenal or Manchester Utd. That's if he does come to England.

This football punditry lark is easy isn't it? The difference being that we get it right, wereas the media pundits always get it so horribly wrong.
JK2006 Yes Fabregas was fantastic although this has been very much a tournament with individuals in isolated games.

Where was Arshavin this time for example? Yet he was brilliant a couple of days ago.

But Torres is consistently superb - notice how he manages to stay on his feet when anyone one else would go down?

The clue for me is the expression on his face when it doesn't work - "oh well, never mind, better luck next time, I'm having such fun".

The same with the other Russian Palyuchenko... always smiling, excited, happy.

David Silva is another Spanish player I really like.
Henry It wasn't Torres who won it for Spain, it was Francesc Fabregas. He was superb last night, creating the play. He and he alone could be the star of Euro 2008. Germany will be crushed by Fabregas's genius playmaking.

So much for the pundits who predicted this competition would be all about Portugal, Scolari and Ronaldo.
