Topic History of: Cameron on knives

In The Know I tend to agree. There was a time when ALL teenage boys would carry (pocket) knives ! Figures on Newsnight last night showed that knife attacks have not increased at all over recent years, despite the hysterical headlines.
JC David Cameron has suggested there should be a presumption of guilt for anyone found carrying a knife. Going by how loosley written recent legislation has been, and adding the lack of common sense shown by officials, this could mean that if you buy a new kitchen kinife from a shop you can be sent to jail. If you wrap it up and put it in a bag you'll be charged with carrying a concealed weapon. If you carry it openly you could be charged with threatening behaviour.

I had hoped that David Cameron would be a better leader than Blair or Brown but he's just another headline grabber. He wants to build more prisons and jail more people. No different to the other idiots in Parliament.
