veritas	that's a good question..but I reckon the media has gotten completely vicious over the past ten years and has now become completely unaccountable to anyone (or the truth). Even worse-the once great US publishing business seems to have hit rock bottom and for a country that had a history of producing fine investigative journalists-you could probably count them on one hand now. They're all terrified of their corporate masters. Is it just a co-incidence that the great decline co-incided with the arrival in the UK and USA with the Dirty Digger ( R.Murdoch) ?. Hark back to when the Sunday Times published the fake Hitler Diaries ( which Murdoch already knew by then were fakes)-he made the classic statement :"we're in the entertainment business"
BR	I am sure they are innocent - and that the "neglect" that led them to leave their holiday flat can be seen on countless holiday parks accross the World this week - parents often are at "the bar" whilst the kids entertain themselves or are in bed etc. This is very normal. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. The Police messed up the enquiry at the start by not taking it seriously and closing the road network etc I am totally convinced she has been abducted - and a lack of remains or leads to remains despite the dogs and teams means that Maddie sadly has seen taken away from this area alive and probably sold to traffickers OR is in a cellar somewhere for someone who has severe mental problems. The "media circus" has made us all experts about her abduction - remember there was a LARGE party of 9 or 10 friends at this complex - they ALL believed their kids were safe - these were professional and experienced people. Sadly this can happen ANYWHERE and at any time - regardless of precautions and how well off you are. I feel desperately sorry for the McCanns because they have lost a very special daughter who they loved. For anyone to suggest otherwise without a shred of evidence based on "tittle tattle" in newspapers is a sad example of how we are all being brainwashed by the media into believing certain things.
Al	One of the reporters on the BBC said that the McCanns could still face charges on child neglect, although that does look less likely as time moves on. I do think there is something dodgy about the whole thing, but that's just an instinct. I can't judge on evidence as I haven't actually seen any. The investigation seems to have been conducted on the assumption that Maddie was in her bedroom at a particular time, and went missing between certain hours. If that information was false, then it's understandable that they got no result.
Naked and Bronzed	I'm going to be the party pooper. Sorry. I believe the McCanns are as guilty as hell. That's just going on the evidence, however threadbare it might be. Although the evidence of human corpse sniffer dogs that wouldn't budge from the backside of Kate McCann is very compelling. They are at least guilty of the woeful neglect of all of their children, and I'm still scratching my head how on earth that fact appears to have been lost. Delighted that Murat succesfully sued the arses off the tabloids though.
BR	It is 3 years since DE MENEZES was assassinated on our transport system. Quite rightly those who did 7 / 7 and 21 / 7 are in prison......but still no one has been held accountable for this murder. I believe the tide is turning against those who are corrupt and I hope that you are right JK. But today's arrest and bailing of Christian Bale ( compare with the London man who took photos of kids doing criminal damage to his luxury estate and ended up with the Police threatening him.....) shows that the Police themselves are WAY WAY WAY off doing the right thing. Note that when asked "they have no record of " despite CCTV showing the phone call and the actual visit of the Police to this poor man's home. The system is corrupt from top to bottom and needs to be addressed root and branch. The whole system is built on "money" rather than justice.
