veritas what were these people smoking at the time?

Actually I really think we are about to get an open visit from aliens.

It's sheer arrogance to think we are the only ones in this universe-let alone the billions of universes that must exist in endless space. ( and infinity is a concept I find hard to comprehend !)

Visitors from other planets would be cautious of Earthlings-just look how deadly we are to our own !
david that is a totally excellent post JK.

my thoughts exactly (only much better worded )
BR

as the board's resident "Christian" I thought I would share this song called UFO by LARRY NORMAN ( who died a few months ago )

Larry lived in the UK for a while in a village called HAMPTON BISHOP in Herefordshire in the early 1980s.

Strangely his big hit album recorded at AIR in 1972 was called "Only Visiting this Planet" which spawned several songs which formed most of Cliff Richard's Christian recorded and live set. Superb songwriting I might add.

His death this year has been overlooked by the media in the UK - despite him headlining venues like the Royal Albert Hall - Wembley Arena - Dominion etc. though there is a tribute gig at the GREENBELT FESTIVAL next weekend where he first performed in 1979 with a band called....U2......and went on to play a few more times.

He wrote a song called "Goodbye FarewelL" which is one of the few songs written about death - and which is quite beautiful and can also be heard on You Tube here

PS These songs are better than Eastenders Mart LOL
Mart ..that`ll be "BBC drama queen syndrome" BR. I hate Eastenders. (the programme , not the people)
BR I tend to agree with you JK - well put.

Though I do think we can improve our "Antlike" life if we all took time to look after each other more.

I think EASTENDERS has had alot to do with the UK mental state of making every small problem into a HUGE CRISIS........
