emmapeelfanclub Yes, there definitely is a market for a re-release of the mono mix of this album since in the last decade many classic albums from the 60s have been given mono and stereo remasters that have been popular with the collectors like myself who like to compare and contrast between the two mixes. In many cases I've been surprised by the mono mixes since they have more balls to them.

I've not heard the mono version of this album but would certainly welcome the opportunity since I rate the album very highly. Given the fact it was originally released during 1969, a year when mono albums were hurriedly phased out it must be one of the rarest mono albums of all.
JK2006 I fear I misled you - it was just the two songs.
Genesis I have the 2006 mixes of 'Silent Sun' and 'Where The Sour Turns To Sweet' - what was the 3rd track?
Genesis As a regular visitor to the official Genesis fanclub I can assure you there is a demand for the mono version. (Someone there has 104 versions of FGTR!)

One idea would be to do a deluxe package, maybe a 4 CD box set with stereo and mono versions, with and without strings and brass - and all the demos and outtakes of course.
Genesis Thanks for the reply Jonathan.

There's a bootleg of the mono version going around which sounds great, with several demos not on the Virgin box set - would be great to give this an official release and do justice to such a great album.
