JK2006 with Alec Guinness in extraordinary nose, Robert Newton over acting like mad (did he ever do anything else?) as Sikes, young Diana Dors, Tony Newley, Hattie Jacques - all gone - and John Howard Davies who was Head of BBC Entertainment when I sang there... magic stuff, just as Great Expectations was yesterday.

They may be B&W, crude, obvious but by God they are better than most modern fillums.
