Visitors don't have karma, only registered users do.

Thank you both for the help:). Concerning Karma, some people don't have a 'thumbs' symbol - so do they need more posts to be eligible? How many are needed is so?
Just found the 'Tipsheet' forum and that looks good too - will need to visit there more often.

No problem Teddy.
We have several boardkeepers who check posts before putting them up - to dispose of malice, libel, lies or other things.
So some posts go up faster than others, depending on when and if the boardkeepers log in.
I don't understand the karma button either!
Visitor means you haven't registered, which gives you clearer and faster access and provides us with an e-mail and contact if needs be.
All boards have people who try to sneak things in without being obvious - so we need to keep an eye on posts.

I have checked for a 'FAQ' section, but as I can't seem to find anything, I thought I would ask.
I see terms like 'user' and 'expert boarder' along with 'karma', but I am not sure how you get karma or when things like expert boarder change. Also, the topics seem to shuffle around in a different order even though there has not been a reply or change. Also, who is a 'visitor'?
Also, when I submit a message, it sometimes seems to hang around in the ether for a bit, and then appear after a while.
If anyone could explain this forum a little it would be a great help, and then I can get the best out of it. I come here every day, and to know how it works would be a bonus.
