BR I think that is a sensible reason for having a camera in every school classroom and the outside areas.

But the cost of putting a CCTV camera everywhere is surely prohibitive - unless we all walk around with the Police Style Headset camera ( which you can buy off the net !!! )

Though like with 9/11 and De Menezes - mysteriously when any court case is around then the "tapes" disappear mysteriously never to be seen.
steveimp I work in schools on a regular basis and am under strict instructions to leave any classroom, area or IT suite if I am left working alone with any children, despite having full police clearance to do the job in the first place.
veritas I think there is only one possible way that people who work with children can protect themselves these days..and that's have cameras in every room or area were they are alone with a child.

I'm surprised in these days were we are monitored on almost every ocassion that authorities haven't insisted on this. It would certainly prevent false allegations and possibly prevent real attacks.

In all honesty, BR, I would not even heard of this case if you had not begun a discussion about it on here.

I, and I'm sure many others, agree that the accused should not be named until there is a conviction. There is too much trial by media.
BR why would the POLICE PR release details to the press without any detail in this particular case if it was not to damage the Headteacher.

Thank God I have never been in the press so I dont know how bad it would be to be accused of assaulting a 15 year old girl publicly......but I can imagine it cant be nice. There are many "no smoke without fire" dumbed down people who have not got enough IQ to discriminate between innocent until guilty and their own view that if the Police arrest you then you are guilty.

This story should not be in the press if it has not been looked into already. This is exactly what is wrong - we should not even be discussing this. It is unfair on the headteacher ( and the alleged victim )

Our law needs to change and until a trial is over no reporting should be done. I am convinced that all of us who stand up against New Labour are being monitored and they are waiting to "investigate" us all for terrorism or assault or any crime that does not need evidence - so that they can warn us all through these sorts of stories what will happen to us IF we dare step out of line.

We are living in a Big Brother State already - and many of us are still sleepwalking through it. If you want me to prove that come to LONDON and walk down any main road and look up - and you will see poles bristling with literally tens of cameras whirring and spinning above your head. Just to get into central London each road has over 10 cameras on it - and to get into the North Circular each point has at least 12 cameras on it and again on the M25. 3 rings of cameras for motorists feeding into the GCHQ Master Computer and the brand new POLICE computer in Colindale.

The debate is no longer intellectual about these things - it is about a REAL system of surveillance being used against us all ( for our protection of course HA HA )
