JC I had to say it before the day was over.

John Noakes was one of my childhood heroes. He never talked down to us kids, but we aspired to be like him. I never got a Blue Peter badge, but I do have a sheet of official Blue Peter stickers.

It's not half the show it used to be, but still going strong after 50 years.
