Al I read on another forum that they intend to make you need a passport to buy a mobile phone, so that they can keep a register of all users. Does anyone know if this is a serious plan?

I think you're right that with all the new laws most of us could end up in prison, or at least with some kind of criminal record.
BR With all the new laws they are bringing in the prisons will all be like this soon. They are planning some of these "super jails" which take thousands.

With an estimated several million who will refuse to carry ID Cards - somehow I dont think they will be able to cope if they carry on legislating in this way.
JK2006 Every few months another report comes in saying prisons are over crowded, dangerous, unsafe, unhealthy...

and nothing is ever done.

I've said it for some time, there will be a huge riot soon in one prison; the inmates will break out; people will be killed... and the government and meeeejah don't give a shit.

The blood will be on their hands.

When children and women die as a direct result of Rebekah Wade's lack of social responsibility, the finger will finally be pointed and heads will at long last roll.

But how sad that it will be at the expense of innocent lives.
