2 hours? thats brill and only one complete playing of "Tales from Topagraphic Oceans " by Yes,once.
Measure a very painful journey by that album of theirs, failing that, stick "Una Paloma Blanca " on repeat in the car cd player! You need to feel the pain of the entire journey, man, from london!
I worked with a band on session, once , in the deep. deep, south of the UK (lol), I said "Why are you so tired?", they replied "just driven back from Hull!"
If I had an MBE on me, which of course I would not have in a million years I would have given it to them for the pure achievement of the driving. |

45 minutes Stevie? Try 5 hours!
No ta!
The other week I did travel to London and the East Coast railway is so much better now than it was when I lived in the Capital. I parked my car in Grantham, and the return journey from London to HOME was just over 2 hours, which included the train and the car ride. Couldn't believe it, almost commutable! |

Being not from Hull, I can only say that it is the worse drive from where I live in the world, but what a magnificent bridge you have!
Ok, I shall also go along with this bid for Hull City, due to also being a Blue Badge Club member Steve.
Not particularly nice when it's extremely windy and you see the lorries wobbling along the roadway!
But yes, for blue badge holders, Hull is a wonderful place for parking and it has a fine amount of shops, both popular and niche ones!
I like it so much that I'm looking at working there, since it's a 45 minute drive from where I live, and the city I currently work in, Lincoln, can sometimes be that if the traffic is working against me! |
