I've had the same Freeview box since 2002 and it's still doing the trick, despite being bashed and dropped a few times during that period. It's a Bush model and is large and bulky compared to the ones they sell now, but I have no reason to change.
Remember, starting next year, a Freeview box will be the minimum requirement for your TV to work as the digital switchover gathers pace. |

Chip fryers, deep fat fryers, or whatever you want to call them, I have found are a yearly buy.
My current one is by a company called "Munro" and the handle melted and fell off after only a week!
It`s a very bad green issue these things, now we buy the electric ones, one of my monthly jobs was scrubbing the one that went on the gas hob out, now, a yearly job is throwing the electric one out that has broken.
I would not invest in the Tefal one personally, as I don`t believe it would last a day longer than the ones I pay about |

The TEFAL chip fryer piece was interesting. Looked like a good bit of kit for the "Chipoholics" who are on this forum ( including myself )
With the ASTORIA BLOCK with the best chip shop in Central London facing closure in January - Dionysus - try their Chicken which is grilled in spices or their fish which is usually of a very high standard - this TEFAL device could be a healthy alternative but the fan problem does seem an issue. |
