BR I agree that what has happened in India is awful. I am pleased we send our thoughts and prayers to those effected.

It just seems that every Terror attack is "used" by Brown and the USA to justify more bombing and then the response will be more terror attacks. Someone has to stop this awful circle of violence. WE ARE MEANT TO BE A CIVILISED NATION yet we wage war in little countries around the World - so much so that their are gunmen running around in INDIA looking for British people to kill - that is very sad and reflects on how New Labour have destroyed our countries reputation around the World.

There has been a collective insanity since 2001 in the World - I agree with JK that things have just gone mad.
We all need to step back from the brink or it can only get worse. We need real peacemakers or we must be staring into the possibility of World War 3.
JK2006 What is going on in India is quite appalling and worse as an example of the insanity that has gripped the human species since 2000.

I knew we had cracked as a species in November eight years ago. Nothing since then has changed my opinion.

But I don't want our leaders spouting cliches. Either do something about it or don't. But do not treat us like morons although many of us may be. And do not issue stupid platitudes just to give the meejah stories and glib headlines.

"Prime Minister condemns murder"?

Bollocks.
david fair enough about the lack of comment on job losees, but what is happening in India is a major world event, with over 100 dead and rising, there are still people being held hostage.
BR but nearly 50,000 have lost their jobs this week in the UK and so far he has not even mentioned it.........and last time I looked he was the UK PM.

He wants to be like BLAIR - a "World Icon" and sadly for him to do that he needs to convince the UK first.

We have dreadful problems in the UK at the moment. We are also fighting 2 wars in the Middle East.

We are a TRILLION in debt and jobs are going in their thousands every day.......
david to be fair, I don't think there's anything wrong with him speaking out against the attacks in India- people would soon complain if he didn't.

it's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't...
