Emma Bee I don't think a not guilty verdict was an option in this case. That would have been too embarrassing all round. Shannon's police assisted statements were the only evidence for the prosecution regarding the way she'd been treated. I'm not saying her mother and step uncle were not guilty, but the trial was run very badly. It was more like a circus. The BBC will have already made the Panorama and had it on stand-by.
mikemacca Totally agree JK. I have been enjoying that series and what was it cancelled for ? A cavalcade of perversion indeed. They did remarkably well to put that program together so quickly as she had only just been found guilty or had the media already announced their verdict earlier, giving them more time to make the movie ?
