Angel Look at your commment about the Police in the last paragraph. If the Police were a race you'd be a racist. Stop generalising.
BR This shows what happens to "data" once it gets into the hands of huge organisations like the Police. In such a big organisation there are bound to be "bad apples" and therefore there is no such thing as safe data.

That is why we are in MORE danger from ID cards than without them.

Identity fraud hardly existed before "data" was no extensively held on people. The more data the easier to corrupt that data and to misuse it.

"outing" Sex Offenders is another nasty twist to the way in which the Police treat people - it does show that the Police are quite happy to make money out of misery and abuse.
