Denise Kathy Staff died today aged 80 after a long illness. She'll be remembered mostly for her role as Norah Batty in Last of the Summer Wine, although she also had parts in Crossroads, Open All Hours and Coronation Street. She was an actress with strong faith and principles who would turn down scripts which contained extreme bad language.
