London unemployment nearly 8%. 1 in 10 of the working population. The BROWN economic miracle.

This does not include the probably 10% who are on Incapacity Benefit who would like to work etc.

The unemployed are now higher than at any time than 1979 - 83. That was due to LABOUR mismanagement of the economy.

Funny how voters never learn - though we have never been given an opportunity to get rid of BROWN who is following HIGH SPEND and HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT and DEBT Keynsian policies. I prefer the Tory and Blairite policy of monetarism and spending what you earn.

The official figures will surely hit 2 million by January with the pace of redundancies now a flood since November. 3 million by the summer.

Not looking at all good. We could see civil unrest next summer in some areas if things continue to get worse - as we did in the early 80s with Toxteth and Brixton and Tottenham rioting.
