JK2006 Has Mel Smith just got a bad cold or is there a more serious problem? He sounded OK in Hairspray (though I didn't like the musical).
He did very well on Shakespearean comedies though tragedies would have been a better bet (essentially only four of them and all far better plays, in my opinion).

Sally Lindsay was brilliant.

Mick Hucknall was useless.
