JC Even channle five news was going on about this guy. I choose not to watch him but get him thrust in my face by every UK news media.

Same with Big Brother.
JK2006 I thought it was a pretty good show and enjoyed it but wish Ross had lambasted the Mail for deliberately making a storm in a teacup and the BBC for having no backbone and not announcing that an organisation whose purpose is to make different shows for different audiences should not be criticised when a rival claims the Wogan audience would have been offended by a Brand joke.
steveimp I met Jonathan Ross a few years ago and thought it was a superb bloke. Very knowledgable about films in particular. He has the strength to get through this.
BR His TV show has a formula. His radio show is superb. His presenting is his strongest strength.

He is intelligent - he is a very funny and warm person.

I think his treatment by the media for what was a prank was far in excess of what he deserved.

There are very evil people destroying peoples' lives who never get as many column inches as he did for taking part in someone elses show.

If the media had not orchestrated the campaign against him none of us would never have even been aware of this. Certainly I dont remember anyone complaining until the media started this.

The basic reason for his "shaming" was jealousy by certain journos about his £18 million salary deal. They had been trying to smear him for a year or so before the Brand incident - and failing.

Now he is back hopefully he will go from strength to strength. He is 10000000000 times better than the other presenters on TV at the moment ! I cant think of any current ones who even come close to his ability.
Mike Willis Blimey what have the Mail got against him!

It was the Mail who got him suspended and forced Brand to resign. Before then four people complained on the night and Ross had already apologised to Sachs (and that is the only person who he should of apologised to) and the whole thing was sorted out.

Then the Daily Mail gave people the link to listen to the broadcast and then the complaints rose to 40,000. They have also given him wonderful publicity tonight when his show comes on.

Really why should he apologise to the public, when it should be the Daily Mail that is apologising.

Jonathan Ross will maybe tone down his style, but part of his act is 'close to the knuckle' and that's what the BBC knew they were getting. But lets not deceive ourselves, if you watch Graham Norton chat show on BBC2, that's just as bad, but doesn't get the publicity.

For the record, I enjoy his shows, but if someone like Faye Dunaway and or an experienced performer comes on, he does give excellent interviews. And I also enjoy Graham Norton's show.
