I think some of you worried about brutish security guards in shopping centres might be interested in reading this piece about such "guards" in Manchester's Arndale centre.

This type of crap is happening all over Britain. I have seen it happen in my own city and I have read of other places with such bullying morons, even small towns with near empty shopping malls... "Terrorism" is the most regular "excuse" which proves that Dubya and Blair's legacy has resulted in "terrorist" laws which can and are being used and abused against ordinary people.

WTF is it all coming to? It's NOT ok for any of us to take snapshots inside shopping centres but it's perfectly acceptable and permissible for THEM to film and watch your every movement when you enter such places...

With video of this going on (at least in the centre and perhaps around the bays) I'd suggest the two cameramen visit the Police station and make complaints of GBH against the security men.
Angel If its private property then i'm supposing they can ban what they like. The fact that they are (generally, in my experience) heavy handed and there is no signs forbidding photography is unacceptable. Give em a uniform and they thnk they're Hitler etc etc.
