The Fat Controller	That's sad news. He enjoyed it so much. He and Humble worked well together. It certainly wont be the same without him.
The Cat	Bill has decided to take a break from BBC's Springwatch and will not be in the next series. It hasn't been decided yet whether anyone will replace him or if Kate Humble will present it solo. I read several letters from viewers who did not understand his humour and thought he talked over Kate Humble too much. I watched the last few editions to see if he really did talk over her, but it was actually she who was the more dominant, so I guess it was just the whinings of a few Oddie bashers. I think he made the show more accessable for people who otherwise find wildlife boring (which I don't).
