zooloo An excellent painting indeed... if only I known it was going for a snip I would have had two

Some years a go there was an exhibition in the National that was all "brown" Masters apart form one impressionist painting (Can't remember who - in fact I'm sure if I looked as the visual impact was so overwhelming).

The burst of vibrant colour amongst the dreary brown painting was stunning. I could appreciate why some people became so shocked/stunned/outraged/disturbed by the new movement.
JK2006 I'd never seen Monet's Dans La Prairie until the Guardian today ran the news story that it had "only" sold for 11.2 million (it was estimated at 15 million).

Beautiful colouring.
