Foz I actually preferred the old format with Lloyd Grossman. It used to be Sunday tea-time viewing
JK2006 Yes I was hoping Matt would win - he seemed pretty good.

I have mixed feelings about Masterchef - I enjoy it if there's nothing else on but it's not a "must see".
robbiex Going by the number of foodies on this site, I'm amazed that there aren't more comments about this excellent programme. The amount of passion shown by the contestants was amazing. Matt was a worthy winner, the judges were blown away by his food, which was original and extroadinary.
He could even cut it in a michelin star restaurant.
