JK2006 Apologies DD, I should have made it clear that both Chelsea and Villa are still in the game (as, distantly, is Arsenal).
Dominic Dee Martin O'Neill is manager of Aston Villa, not Chelsea, but I agree he seems good at his job and they could still finish in the top four.

Man Utd didn't get many decisions their way yesterday, and it was good to see their assistant manager not blaming it all on the referee. "We can't disagree with the sending off," he said.

It was a good result for Liverpool. Plus, I recall that when Man Utd have been beaten like this before, other teams have gained confidence and played more positively against Man Utd in the games that followed.

Two games can swing the whole thing around. It aint over till it's over.
JK2006 Well I don't think anyone can touch Man U and still think Ronaldo is the best player in the world but Liverpool have been tremendous for the past few years (some of the greatest games have been won by them) and I've always said Gerrard should be England captain (a real class player). And Torres is fantastic (and dishy).

Chelsea are not dead yet - Martin O'Neill is a great manager (I thought he should be England manager) - it's still a season.

as much as i would love anyone but manu win the premiership i fear not, just take a look at manu's remaining fixtures
however you never know and manu certainly have had a lot of luck with last minute goals and inter could have scored 8 at old trafford
so let's hope for a lot of bad luck and dodgy ref decisions against manu for a change and they lose everything

Well said, Mick. Not much chance of any ref decisions going against Man Utd though. Not sure how they achieved it, but they have 95% of Premiership refs in their pockets. Sad, but true.
emmapeelfanclub Yes... I lost count of the times I sat through boring games on TV which Man Utd didn't deserve to win only for them to miraculously score in the final minute. It got to be a bit of a cliche.

Maybe they do play good games but 9 times out of 10 when I've watched Man Utd, I have been bored to tears and never failed to be amazed by how "lucky" they are.

Then there is the allegations that it is almost impossible for any visiting team to be given a penalty at Old Trafford. Not sure how true that is though.

No surprise to learn their remaining fixtures are probable walkovers... Grrr...
