JK2006 I'm sure I know Gordon from our dim, distant past but he really is one of our best British writers.

Born Yesterday - the news as a novel - is terrific and well worth reading.

Paperback on Faber - £7.99.

Highly recommended, as was his Alma Cogan - a superb novel.
