david sorry to post after myself...

just to agree with you JK about Clegg.

I could quite easily have voted LibDem if Charles Kennedy were still leader- a potentially great politician struck down by the demon drink, alas.

Then Ming Campbell- erudite, articulate, a tad aloof- but he was to my liking. Unfortunately the media and some of his own party showed a sorry display of ageism and he was ousted.

It is because Campbell was got rid of due to his age that they could not replace him with the great Vince Cable, as he is I believe the same age as Campbell.

Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot (feet?)
david he did indeed, Emma. I applauded him from my armchair.

I also liked it when he insomuchas told Esther Rantzen to shut up and do her homework lol

I just got back fromlunch with my Dad, who worked under Ken Clarke when Clarke was in government. My Dad has nothing but praise for him- his people-skills and ability to listen above all.
Emma Bee Ken Clarke did say something similar to that on Question Time.
JK2006 More opportunist slime; I really do hate the lot of them.

The only MPs I trust are those willing to say "this is all rubbish created by the media; for God's sake lets get back to electing good people who actually run the country instead of pandering to editors".
