With all the recent focus on MPs' expenses, should we look at the expenses the taxpayer pays for the royals?
Prince Charles' expenses have risen 48% in one year. Admittedly much of this was due to higher travel costs on official trips, but with a personal income of £16.4 million, does he need to be subsidised (given that he probably wouldn't have that private income were he not who he is) ?
