I fully agree with your last two sentences, Emma. Gay people who embrace Christianity totally baffle me. This is a classic case of turkeys voting for Christmas.
I disagree that there is nothing disturbing about this issue though. He is a young kid, who has presumably been brainwashed by the religion of his parents ,and now believes that there is something evil about his feelings, or that he has been possessed by evil forces. I don't suppose this is what Jesus would have had in mind for his followers. |

Nothing really disturbing about it. The teen approached the church for prayer and to have his "demon" cast out, and they responded to his request. I know someone who had a similar experience and they claim they feel much better for it.
I think so long as it's done voluntarily, it's not for others to criticise. If there is nothing to this god stuff, then nothing will really happen other than a bit of rolling about and screaming. People do that for kicks on Rave nights using a different kind of influence. As for the gay issue, Christianity clearly teaches against it, so I don't why people want to try to be both. It's simply not possible as the two things conflict. |

you know how those little demons are difficult to fully get rid of..one will stay behind and it's only a matter of time before the poor guy ends up cottaging or leaping into drag:evil:
