BR	No problem. Even newsnight tonight cant get any agreement about WHY we are fighting this war..... Brown has made up a totally crazy reason this afternoon. Does anyone know why ? Is it still the oil problem ? or has it got to do with the deeper issues which I have pointed out elsewhere ?
Locked Out	Apologies, I was reading the wrong thread. I'll address your points on that one later.
Locked Out	Don't agree with either the invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan. Both were, in my view, undertaken for the benefit of US based consortia interested in little other than mineral reserves. We have no right to be in either country. Why did you direct this to me? I've never, to the best of my knowledge, expressed anything other than the view I present here.
BR	3 young 18 year olds died this weekend in Afganistan. There is no reason to be in Afganistan. Why are we there ? How can it be about security ? If it is about BASES in Afganistan why fight a war. We could just BOMB the bases if they were ever set up. That is how we have dealt with any other threat. Why do soldiers have to die when the current strategy is silly and unwinnable. The MEDIA has tried to COVER UP by changing the debate to "EQUIPMENT" problems. The vast majority of people want us to pull out. They want to see the money spent on Afganistan put into JOBS and GETTING THE ECONOMY back to work. WAR is wrong - it is wrong to be out there killing people for a theory which has already been proved wrong in 2003 when we declared the same war on IRAQ. The World is not more safe because of this war - it is in MORE DANGER. How can WAR = Security/Peace That is what ORWELL called doublespeak. GORDON BROWN is sectionable because he cant prove that there will be an attack on the UK by these "stone age religious people" in Afganistan. TROOPS OUT NOW STOP THE DEATHS OF INNOCENT SOLDIERS and AFHGAN PEOPLE. I despair for our VERY EVIL country. Too many people in the UK believe in WAR and VIOLENCE and SLAVERY. WHY ? I just dont understand why our country is so nasty to other people. We deserve to be bombed if we are at war. Simple as that.
