I couldn't agree more and they are as calm, pretty and genteel as their owners.

When I picked mine up from the pound I particularly wanted one that stayed indoors. I read their profiles and chose the tattiest one.."loves indoors" her CV read.

It took a few hours to work out..how the f**k could they know whether a cat likes indoors or outdoors ?.Do they fill in a questonaire ?

anyway I tried to take her out once-when she was fat and lazy , and the first sight of garbage can she was scrabbling for my front door. 'been there done that' was the look on her face.

Sorry to be totally non PC here - but there are some striking similarities between cats' behaviour and that of some women ( Heather Mills for instance ) and the way they treat their partners / husbands.

I know what you mean. And Dogs are nothing like Women. Try locking one in a cupboard for an hour then letting them out. The dog will be over excited and happy to see you. The woman won't talk to you for days!!!

Cats look at me and know I've sussed them. They tolerate me, are polite to me, submit to stroking, purr on cue and feel about me exactly the same as I feel about them.

Give me a dog - ANY dog - any day.

You've yet to meet our cat, Feargal. He gets on with everybody - including our Border Terrier.

my previous cat, cindy used to hassle my dad for food when he went to work at 7am. However she wouldn't eat the food for a while, its just that she knew that Knowone else would be getting up for a couple of hours so she should pre-order the food!!
andrew Cats don't bark and and get aggresive easily like dogs and cats are cheaper than dogs. My first cat Nibbs was friendly to anyone and everyone all she wanted in life was a stroke and tickle under the chin may she R.I.P.

My current cat Shanti is pain the arse and very annoying less friendly and don't like being stroked much but she don't fight other cats as she is scared of them.

This is a nice thread here.
