What a great loss he directed all my faviourte movies Breakfast Club is my second best but Planes Trains and Automobiles is real classic and my fav.

I was very saddended to hear this news. John Hughes was probably the best director of the 80's and "The Breakfast Club", "Pretty in Pink" "Ferris Bueller's day off", "sixteen candles" and others were some of the best films of that decade.
These films haven't been equalled since for their genre.
