BR Seems that there is a run on UK banks as people try and get their cash out.

Customers of the Post Office accounts ( Bank of Ireland ) are being told that they have to wait 2 MONTHS to get their money......due to an unprecedented demand for withdrawals.

I would urge anyone with cash in the Post Office Savings Accounts to get your cash out now if you can. Looks like a Northern Rock situation is occurring.

As for any savings in any other bank - I would get out cash now if possible before the next few months.

China has just stopped 50% of its shipping imports according to Bloomberg News. This is very bad news.

Sorry to be so pessimistic about things - but the media in the UK is in denial about the severity of the current credit crisis - and as many found out last year when the Icelandic banks went under - this is a real threat to ordinary peoples' savings and money. Insurance may or may not cover it.

Brown's record is appalling and our country has been wrecked. Buy a safe and keep your money in hard cash where possible.
