Innocent Accused The police and CPS are very single minded, they do tend to research to prove their theories, not looking at both sides.
In my own case we're still waiting for a lot of official disclosures, these could of course cast doubt on their case, didn't stop them charging before they knew all the facts.
mikemacca I always find it amusing that a group of people who slag the media off to the greatest level, accusing them of fabricating stories and inventing rubbish.... suddenly believe every single word in print when ever it's something negative against the Police ?
JK2006 I think this is the most appalling revelation - mainly because of the blatant and shameless dishonesty of police and CPS behaviour.

Fire the lot of them and start again.
veritas I know you went through your own ordeal JK but 27 years!!1..how can a man be compensated for that ?

Well money of course and plenty of it so the rest of his life he can live it up would be a start but there really should be extremely tough rules and laws that force police to truly investigate a case and with strict penalties when they fall down on the job either by neglect or deliberately.

When it's deliberate it should carry severe penalties.

I've actually had to call the police 3 times in the past 2 weeks over some incidents and they have been absolutely terrific but these tend to be uniformed seargents and because the incidents involve attacks upon an 80 year old lady she obviously will get the sympathy vote.

As for the collapse in policing that has gone haywire-I have had to employ a PI to track the background of a ghastly bloke who has been causing havoc amongst and organisation I belong to -he claims to be Irish but so definitely has a London accent my radar switched on.

Lo & behold he turns out to be part of a criminal gang from the UK who have turned their eyes on Oz as new furtile ground and several of them have infiltrated several organisations to get a hold of valuable property. It's a bizarre complicated story but several media outlets have finally twigged and are working on it.

So while T.Blair's Nu Labour and Scotland Yard plus Oz's Federal Police have been ramping up the 'terrorism" scares or chasing roller-skating pensioners (me) organised crime in the UK & Australia is now entrenched as the Mafia was in the USA 30 years ago.
JK2006 Wasn't him at all murdered Teresa; was a 17 year old David Lace - now dead.
They discover this in 5 minutes after Sean spent 27 years locked up for a crime he didn't commit.
How fortunate the real killer is dead.
Case solved. Well done police. Lace actually confessed at the time.
CPS denied there was DNA evidence ten years ago. They lied.
Next stitch up please.
