JK2006 Not quite right IA - accountable to the media. These days, they are the authority. Which is not always a good thing.
Innocent Accused A law unto themselves,and not really accountable to anybody.
JK2006 Answer - no we don't; massive and pervasive corruption of morality; institutionalised "can we get away with it?" attitude; society wants the media to provide us with good stories, not justice; budgets depend on convictions...
