Locked Out	"Well done them and all the other papers who are opposing this Government - certainly they are doing a better job than the other Political Parties in Parliament." So hang on. It's not the police after all. It's the Government now, is it? Once again you appear to have started gabbling, confusing one thing with another. Please try and get this into proportion. The police have handed out cards for people to display on their doors if they don't want to be bothered by groups of carol singers. There's no compulsion to display them and I have little doubt that they won't be widely used. A waste of police time and resources, perhaps. Pardon me if I don't see this as some kind of Gestapo tactic. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that the "nutty idiot" tag applies much closer to home here than on the doorsteps of Penwortham .
BR	Well the title of the story is that "The Scrooge Police ban Christmas" and I never accused them of being Scroogelike. Why are the Police interfering in Christmas customs which do not break the law ? That is at the heart of this crazy New Labour led policy. It appears to me ( and to millions of others ) that the POLICE hate any type of religion and/or any type of enjoyment. As I said in my original post - I wish they were out there chasing criminals. There are many other papers who are reporting this story not least the local press in the area where it is happening. The Daily Mail is reporting a news story - one that cuts right to the core of what is wrong in the UK. Well done them and all the other papers who are opposing this Government - certainly they are doing a better job than the other Political Parties in Parliament.
david	what rubbish, BR. but then, you do read the Daily Mail. Plenty of Christmas stuff going on in the East Midlands (oh wait, surely the muslims would have banned it?) another non-story. Xmas as usual, folks
Locked Out	Another piece of hysterical nonsense, BR. Claiming that this is banning Christmas is like claiming that attaching a "No Hawkers" sign to your door is in some way banning shops. What next? Do you plan on running a campaign to stop people hanging "Do Not Disturb" signs on their hotel room doorknobs on the grounds because it means that cleaning and changing the bed linen has been banned? Pathetic.

How much longer do we have to put up with these NUTTY IDIOTS in the POLICE ruining ordinary people's lives. Why cant they just do what they are paid to do : catch criminals ? But the statistics show that they only solve about 5 in 100 crimes. Is it any wonder when they spend their time harassing ordinary people like this. Another jawdropping story.
