BR If you read the site you will see how they play. Very cool.

A decent standard of football as well. These will be the best players in the World. This is not the first World Cup and it is an Olympic Sport as well.

As any football fan knows - most refs need to go to Specavers - so even "sighted" football has its issues !!
robbiex I have to admit I'm not exactly getting giddy with excitement about the blind football world cup. It is not a spectator sport as far as I'm concerned, also why are the players wearing blindfolds when they are blind anyway?? That said I have to admire their spirit.

Its like when the bbc show extensive coverage of the paralympics well beyond the actual interest in the event. I feel that this is more out of political correctness than demand.
JC At least I'm honest about my response to the event.

Not going to engage in fake sympathy or support. Like I said, good luck to them.
JK2006 At least you'd be able to JC!
JC Apart from a mild curiosity about how the players manage to see the ball or the goal, I can't say, as a football fan, that I have any interest in this event. Good luck to them and I hope they have fun, but if it was put on TV I doubt I'd watch much of it.
