The Fat Controller I'm only 40...a long way to go, but this government wants us all to work until we drop dead. I believe that Cameron and co are also looking at raising the retirement age. I might be working until I'm 90. If I live that long of course. That's another 50 years of getting up at 6am.

DR2 I don't know about the rest of the UK, but where I live, I received my bus pass on my 60th birthday, as did every other 60 year old.

DR2 I'm only two years and five months behind you, JK and I wonder how much the state pension for a single person like myself will be in 2012. I will have to think about making enquiries soon at the DWP...or whatever they call themselves these days. They will probably have changed their name again by 2012.
