david Not a huge fan of Xmas songs generally, but I do like Kate Bush's "December Will Be Magic".

Here she is writhing about in a chair to it.

Al I think young Olivia Olsen sang it much better than Maria Carey, in the movie 'Love Actually'.

I'll nominate Perri Como's 'Christmas Dream' as one of the best ever Christmas records.
JK2006 This thread really should be over on the Tipsheet music board... I have to admit, much as I loathe Maria Carey, her Christmas song was brilliant.
Emma Bee I loved Mull of Kintyre although agree it wasn't a Christmas song. I still have it on 45. I also love Everything I do ... although I'm not a massive fan of Bryan Adams.
Locked Out Point taken, Robbie... the dire "Mull Of Kintyre" wasn't a Xmas song per se, but it was {as you accept} a Xmastime number 1 {longest running until the tragedy that was the even worse Bryan Adams song "Everything I Do", which spent so long at Number 1 that whole careers were begun and ended during its tenure}. I threw it in as a particularly tasteless joke. And if you're reading this, sorry Macca {Paul not Mike}. You know you could have done much better.
