JK2006 All politicians need to appease the media with this silly "tax big bonuses" law.
The media is so stupid that it doesn't seem to notice that a) income from taxes on huge bonuses will shrink, b) banks are bright enough to reward executives in other ways - allowing expenses, boosting basic salaries, paying wives and children, donating to trusts and "charities... c) many top bankers will piss off to New York or Paris or Tokyo, taking families and wealth with them...

But it makes a good headline. It's a great story.
